Designed for 25kg and 40kg sacks as required by Health and Safety Lifting Legislation. It is now illegal for one man to repetitively lift these bags from a low level. Portsdown offer this new machine to overcome this lifting problem and to introduce one man bagging.

The feeder delivers the net weigh hopper and switches off automatically at eh correct weight. The contents are released into a hand held bag, the bottom of which rests on a sliding trolley.

The net weigher gate is immediately closed by pneumatics, and while the weighing process is repeated, the filled bag is moved on the trolley to the sealer adjusted to the required sealing height.

After a 2/3 second seal the bag is placed onto a pallet. One man only is required for bagging. This should save the cost of equipment in a very short time having one man instead of two. The cycle is now repeated and a rate of 200 sacks per hour can be expected from one operator.
